Genetics and Health

Several studies have shown that Standard and Miniature Poodles are among the most long-lived purebred dogs. Nevertheless, there are several problems that one should be alert to:

	Addison's Disease - treatable, but frequently misdiagnosed. (additional information)
	Bloat (aka Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus) - deadly if not treated quickly recent findings how much of the problem is genetic?
